Ron Paul goes on the attack, steps back into the spotlight at debate - The Hill's Ballot Box: "Those two snapped back, leading to one of the most testy exchanges in the debate, and all frontrunner Mitt Romney had to do was sit back and watch his rivals tear each other down.
Paul, who is second in New Hampshire polls, got plenty of air time to make his attacks and all of the candidates involved in the exchanges found themselves playing defense against each other."

I was watching the debate and thinking, "Does Paul not think he has a chance and likes Romney better than the other alternatives? Come to think of it, Paul has never gone after Romney. Has Romney paid him off?" It was pretty crazy.
I was also thoroughly confused by Gingrich's "watching the college basketball championship game" comment. Huh, March Madness? Then he audibled to football. Uh, that's on Monday. When Santorum and Romney agreed I wondered if I'd missed some schedule change.
Still the case. Paul attacks everyone who has a chance with a vengence except Romney.
I had the same thought--they must have some sort of agreement that Paul gets X role in the administration if Romney wins. But frankly, that doesn't seem like Paul's style. It's kind of befuddling really.
Or maybe there's some secret reason Paul's sensitive to Romney? Are there lots of Mormon's in Paul's district?
